Medical systems based around, Er:YAG lasers, CO2 lasers, or flash lamps, all use our metal based mirrors to ensure long lifetimes and maximum durability. Solid Molybdenum mirrors withstand repeated cleaning, and can be used at high temperatures with no loss of performance. Gold coated mirrors offer broad reflectivity across the infra red spectrum. Just one standard mirror can be used with many sources reducing inventory. Metals can be machined to incorporate mounting, alignment and adjustment features reducing overall, cost and weight. Dental Er:YAG lasers use Gold coated Copper mirrors in articulated arms for beam delivery, and in dental handpieces.
Infra Red based counter measures and imaging systems demand low mass, high laser damage resistance, and durable reflective components that work in hostile environments. Metal mirrors offer all of these benefits, plus the ability to design in features that reduce assembly time and maintenance.
